A little clarity.

Quiet Pomodoro is a free browser timer. You can use it without an account.

Your tasks stay in this browser.

Your task text, timer settings and saved history of up to 300 completed focus sessions are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this saved workspace. It does not sync to another device. Clearing this site's browser data removes it.

Understanding what is useful.

We use PostHog in its EU region to count page visits and understand basic timer use: starting, pausing, resuming, resetting, changing an interval and completing one. Timer events include the interval type and its length in minutes. They do not include your task text or saved history.

PostHog stores a randomly generated analytics identifier in your browser’s local storage to recognise returning browsers and group activity into visits. It is not linked to an account, your name or your task text. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the identifier. Analytics requests pass through our own domain to PostHog’s EU service. We configure PostHog not to retain the IP address with the event.

We measure page views and exits, the page path, the referring website’s domain and basic browser/device information. We also collect numeric performance measurements such as loading speed and responsiveness, and recognised campaign tags (UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term). Other URL query parameters, URL fragments, referrer paths and performance-related page text are excluded. Automatic click and form capture, session recordings, heatmaps and person profiles are disabled. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals stop analytics from loading.

PostHog's free plan retains event data for up to one year. See PostHog's privacy notice (opens in a new tab) for how it processes data.

Approximate location.

PostHog uses the network IP address during processing to estimate your country, region and city. Analytics can include an approximate map location, postal area and time zone derived from that estimate. This is not your device’s precise location, and we do not request location permission. The IP address itself is excluded from the stored event.

Delivering the website.

Cloudflare hosts and secures the site. Network information such as your IP address is processed to deliver pages and protect the service. Cloudflare's optional browser analytics is disabled. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for details.
